Medication Management Process
With my unique training in both internal medicine and psychiatry, I am equipped to treat the whole patient. Having medical training provides me an astute knowledge of pharmacology, which is imperative when caring for patients with co-occurring medical problems.
All too often, patients find themselves on medications that may interact with each other, which have potential for more harm than good. Medications are beneficial, but unfortunately are not benign and careful consideration must be taken before considering starting one. This is of grave importance in the geriatric population who are prone to polypharmacy.
